PORTRAIT FAQs
ABOUT THE SESSION:
Your individual or family portrait session can be at my studio in New Regent Street for a more formal style portrait, at your home, or at an outdoor location for a more relaxed, natural style portrait. Although the choice is yours my preference is to shoot outdoors using a mix of natural and fill light depending upon the location.
I am more than happy to discuss the merits of all three options with you.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
Family and individual portrait sessions are up to an hour in length which gives us ample time to capture your treasured memory - in fact a session often takes less than the planned hour to complete.

WHAT TO WEAR?
The clothes you wear can have either a complimentary effect upon the image or an adverse effect, so I strongly advise you to think about what will be worn. You should avoid logos, graphics prints, and strong patterns that will be distracting to the overall portrait. I recommend that thought is given to choosing a colour palette will suit the surroundings in which your image will be displayed; plus that all those that will be in the image are within that chosen colour palette. If two or three are in subdued tones and one is in a vibrant rich colour, it's not hard to imagine who is going to dominate the image!

SHOULD WE BRING ANYTHING ELSE ALONG?
Yes, any items that are personal to you or help to tell your family's story. This could be a guitar, a netball, or a favourite hat or scarf. If your little ones like to play dress up you might even want to bring along their favourite costumes!
